The white enamel dial displays the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals; it is signed: Fol Fils A Paris.
The eight-day movement, with silk suspension, is also signed on the back plate: Fol Fils A Paris.
The clock, made of finely chased and gilded bronze, is stamped “Osmond” on the back of the base.
Robert Osmond (1711-1789) and his nephew Jean-Baptiste Osmond (born in 1742) were leading figures among Parisian bronze casters.
