A walnut mirror
Beautifully carved with floral motifs, with two family coats of arms in the crest.
The coat of arms on the left is the Sautyn family.
The coat of arms on the right is his wife.
The Sautyn family came from a wealthy merchant lineage in the 17th and 18th centuries, based in Amsterdam and Middelburg, amongst other places.
