Krautstrunk, Reliquary

This so-called "Krautstrunk," this glass was used as a reliquary
 
Krautstrunk means coal stalk. The design of the glass is reminiscent of this.
 
The top is covered with wax, with two stamps on it.
 
Archaeological find, entirely intact.
 
Germany, Middle Ages, circa 1500.
 
Extremely rare.
