A Chinese chest set.

 

A fine ivory chess set with accompanying lacquerware box. 

By unfolding the lacquerware box, it can be used as a chessboard.

This ivory chess set is beautifully carved and more luxurious in execution with the openwork puzzle ball under the figures of the chess set.

The chess pieces are made of natural ivory on one side and colored cochineal red on the other.

Height of the pieces: 6/12 cm.
