A fine pair of fire-gilt and patinated oil lamps.
On the base a plate with the name of the maker/inventor.
'Place des Victoires no. 1. Gotten. Inventeur Brevete'.
It is very rare to find the original glass bulbs and soot glasses still present.
Also present in the base is the original winding mechanism, which ensures that the oil is brought from the reservoir to the wick.
Later made electrical, the wire runs through the winding hole of the mechanism up to the lamp.
Entirely in original condition.
France, Louis-Philippe, 1830.
