A Dutch Renaissance Chandelier

From the first half of the 17th century brass chandeliers were purchased by the wealthy bourgeoisie.
In the centuries before we only saw chandeliers in churches and castles.
The chandelier was not only purchased for better lighting, but also for aesthetic reasons.
Over the centuries, the shapes of the chandeliers have not changed much.
The coppersmiths passed on the models from generation to generation.
Even in these modern times, this small candle crown beautifully decorates our interior.
Dutch, 2nd half of the 17th century.
