Signed on the dial Louia Waltrin, that is Louis René Waltrin, working in Paris, 1771 - 89.
The cartel-d'alcôve is a clock for in a room where no daylight can enter.
On the right side of the cartel hangs a pull string to ring the bell.
This clock has a rehearsal timepiece "triage de nuit", a pull quarter repeat on two bells.
